healthy foods

There is so much demand for healthy foods today. How do you know what to eat to be healthy? Read on to find five debunked common diet myths!

1. All saturated fats are bad for you

not true! Coconut oil is a new health food found. It has been known to lower cholesterol, increase metabolism and reduce abdominal fat. The type of saturated fat in coconut oil is called lauric acid, a type of medium chain triglycerides (MCT). Take 1-2 tablespoons per day for optimal results.

2. Never eat after 20:00 PM

This rule should be for people who spend the night on the couch eating sweets stupidly watching TV. If you come home late, you eat will not make you fat. A calorie is a calorie, no matter what time you eat. If you eat the night, try to keep as light as a full belly can keep you awake at night.

3. Cut the carbs helps you lose weight

You can also make you feel bad! Carbohydrates are needed for energy! Cutting carbs, and you're tired, constipation and irritable. And those are only short-term effects! Diets low in long-term carbohydrates could increase the risk of heart disease and colon cancer.

As fat, certain carbohydrates are better than others. Avoid refined carbohydrates such as white bread, white rice and sugar. Fill up on fruits, vegetables and whole grains.

4. diet helps lose weight

In fact, they can do the opposite. Prepackaged diet foods usually have added sugar and trans fats. Ew! They may have fewer calories, but they are certainly not the best for you! Have you seen these butters and syrups calories without peanuts? Do not eat them. Find real food and eat only sparingly.

5. healthy organic

Have you noticed the increase in organic Oreos and snacks at the supermarket? Yes ... that's a pretty slick marketing ploy to make you think you are buying something healthy. Tip: If you have a complaint healthy on the outside, it's probably not as healthy.

When was the last time you saw apples or strawberries with all sorts of health claims on them? I do not believe him. While some fruits and vegetables are the best organic, avoid foods that claims to be healthier because it is organic. For a list of fruits and vegetables you should buy organic, Dirty Dozen Google.
